Feature & Follow, #27

It's time once again for the Feature and Follow Blog Hop hosted by Parajunkee's View and Alison Can Read? The Feature and Follow Blog Hop is an excellent chance to connect with other bloggers and answering questions about our favorite books. This week we have a really fun ACTIVITY (courtesy of author, Kelly Walker):

Activity: Write a letter to your favorite character. Rant, rave, or gush...just pretend that they are real and you just want to let them know a "few things".

Since I'm still in the Valentine's mood, I decided that I would write a love letter to one of my book boyfriends, Atticus O'Sullivan from Kevin Hearne's Iron Druid Series:

My darling Atticus,

First, I must apologize. I asked Granuaile to cover my shift at the Rúla Búla that night you stopped in to see me twelve years ago because I wasn't feeling well and I think you confused the two of us. Which is completely understandable as we're both ginger haired, Irish lasses. I even understand your...attraction...to her. After all, you were alone together for twelve years as you trained her as your apprentice. But she's now a full-fledged Druid and can go off on her own to tend to the Earth. That means that I can take my rightful place at your side as your apprentice and girlfriend like it was always meant to be.

I've missed you tremendously while you've been gone, Mo Ghrá (my love). I've been so concerned about you, what with the Dark Elves, Bacchus, and even Loki out for revenge. I wanted to be there to guard your back...and your front...but I was stuck pulling double shifts waiting for you to return to me.

You know that I love dogs and Oberon already has a special place in my heart. I even have an open account with the local butcher for his favorite sausages and know of several people with French Poodles with a taste for Irish Wolfhounds.

All I've had to get through your absence was my dreams of running my fingers through your ginger hair and having your lithe, muscular body wrapped around mine in a tight embrace. Come home soon dearest, my shift ends at 2:00 am.

Le grá go deo (with love forever),
Traci

How does this work? First you leave your name here on this post, (using the linky tools — keep scrolling!) then you create a post on your own blog that links back to this post (easiest way is to just grab the code under the #FF picture and put it in your post) and then you visit as many blogs as you can and tell them “hi” in their comments (on the post that has the #FF image). You follow them, they follow you. Win. Win. Just make sure to follow back if someone follows you!

What sets this Hop apart from others, is our Feature. Each week we will showcase a Featured Blogger, from all different genres and areas. Who is our Feature today? Find out below. Just remember it is required, if you participate, to follow our Features and you must follow the hosts (Parajunkee's View & Alison Can Read) as a courtesy. How do you follow someone? Well, if you have a preference, state it in your #FF post. A lot of blogs are transitioning to WordPress in which they do not have the luxury of GFC, so an RSS subscription is appreciated or if you choose an email subscription. If you don’t have GFC please state in your post how you would like to be followed.

    1. Happy Valentine's to you too! The problem is I have so many book boyfriends! But they all live in different worlds, so they probably won't run into each other...right?

    1. :) Glad you enjoyed the letter Angelica!!! And I'm really happy you love the blog! I had the art for the header and my logo created for me by the incredible Kei at kinkei.deviantart.com (I've got a link to her on the right). I sent her the rough idea that I had and she did such an amazing job with it! The rest of the blog (backgrounds, header background, fonts, layout) was all DIY. I started with the basic simple template and customized, customized, customized. <3 <3 <3

    1. Hi Debbie! First, thanks so much for following! I hope you enjoy the blog!

Ok, if you follow Parajunkee Views on Facebook, she will often post that week's question/activity on Wednesday or Thursday to give you some time to work on the post. I just found that out a few months ago after I liked her FB page. It's been great to get it a little early so I have some time to work up my answer.

If you don't check FB, then you have to wait until the post goes live on the Parajunkee or Alison Can Read sites when you sign up for the Linky. Those posts go live on Thursdays at 9:00 Central Time (which is my time zone, so if you're in a different time zone you'll have to figure what that time is for you). If I miss the heads up, then I'll sign up on the linky and then go back and prepare my post answer.

      Hope that helped you! ~Traci
